FAQ
No. Screen context stays on your Mac. When a step needs a model, Melvin only ships the small slice of context that step requires, never your full screen.
Mail, Calendar, Notes, Reminders, Files, iMessage, and Chrome (including the page you already have open). Slack and Google Docs work after a one-time connect under Settings → Your apps. WhatsApp is not supported. Melvin does not claim to drive every Mac app.
Email stays in drafts until you send. High-stakes actions ask first: sending mail or iMessage, posting to Slack, deleting files, spending money, inviting others on calendar, destructive shell or git, overwriting existing files, and bulk fan-out. Reads, drafts, Notes, and solo calendar events run without a prompt.
A chatbot answers. Melvin executes on named surfaces — opens Mail, drafts the reply, holds the calendar block, works the open Chrome tab. You send mail when ready. You direct rather than type.
Not yet. We are heads-down on macOS through the public beta. Windows starts after.
Melvin is free for 30 days or 50 inputs, whichever runs out first, with no card required. After that, Orbit is $26 a month for 200 inputs per month. An input is one agent run; asking Melvin a question is always free. See the pricing page for the details.
Use Delete all local data in Melvin, then follow the account deletion page to remove synchronized account data.
A scripting API for power users is on the roadmap. Today, all interactions go through the Melvin app.
